Oreo truffles

Oreo truffles are a delicious and easy-to-make dessert that combines the rich, chocolatey flavor of Oreos with the creaminess of cream cheese.

Oreo is a popular sandwich cookie that consists of two chocolate wafer cookies with a sweet, creamy filling in between. The filling is usually made from a mixture of sugar, vanilla, and vegetable shortening.

Oreos were first introduced in the United States in 1912 by the Nabisco company (now known as Mondelez International). Since then, they have become one of the most popular cookies in the world and are sold in over 100 countries.

In addition to the classic chocolate wafer and vanilla cream filling, Oreos come in a variety of flavors and limited edition releases, including double-stuffed, mint, peanut butter, and birthday cake.

Here's a recipe to make them:

Ingredients:

  • 1 package of Oreos (about 36 cookies)
  • 1 package of cream cheese (8 oz)
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 package of chocolate chips (12 oz)

Instructions:

  • Crush the Oreos into fine crumbs using a food processor or by placing them in a plastic bag and crushing them with a rolling pin.
  • In a large bowl, mix together the Oreo crumbs, cream cheese, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  • Using a small cookie scoop or a spoon, form the mixture into balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator and chill the truffles for at least 30 minutes, or until they are firm.
  • Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.
  • Dip each truffle in the melted chocolate using a fork and tap off any excess chocolate.
  • Place the truffles back on the parchment paper and let them set in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes, or until the chocolate has hardened.

You can also decorate the truffles with sprinkles, crushed Oreos, or drizzle them with melted white chocolate to add some extra flair
